Thick Ice

If u want to be with someone, show them that u do right away.
A cuddle, kiss, or any other sensual gesture would be a nice ice breaker.
If u wait too long, the ice will thicken, and be impossible to crack.
U will be trapped under this ice, cold and alone.
Drowning in the waters of ur self pity.
On surface of the ice is the one person u want the most.
U flail under the frozen water, hoping that they will save u.
But, they just watch u squirm and do nothing to help.
U look up once again, and notice another figure.
This figure walks up to the person u admire and makes loving gestures with them.
Ur jealously makes the water colder, as u shiver.
U find urself miserable and living in regret.
I rather be on thin ice with the person I admire, than under thick ice.
But, I made the mistake and now under the ice is my lifeless body.
